A lot of gamers are also into design. While making sigs isn’t extremely tough, it requires more photoshop skills then I have. Posted below are several cool Assassins Creed sigs that I’ve seen on forums. I didn’t make them and I don’t claim to own them. If one of them is yours and you want it removed, then just email me.
Why is it a crime in the Assassins Creed world to ride a horse in the open space? The second you get on a horse and gallop around some guards they immediately yell “Kill the Assassin!”
Don’t you think that Altair should be able to ride around on a horse without getting harassed by the guards. It makes the game annoying. I just want to be able to travel from city to city in as little time possible. I don’t want to have to slow my horse down every minute because there is a group of guards.
I was browsing some Assassin’s Creed forums and came across a post that was a major gripe about the stealth mode in Assassin’s Creed. Basically the gamer was upset that stealth mode wasn’t stealthy enough and that you can pretty much do anything without being caught. I’ll let you read it for yourself. Let me know what you think.
You’d think the company who made Splinter Cell would know SOMETHING about stealth games. The stealth (a major part of assassination in my mind) in this game was a joke. The “suspicious guards” didnt care that i was climbing walls at all, which was what I hear ubisoft claim. “you need to hide in the crowd, and do socially acceptable things.” Even those darn lepers pushing you into the guards never mattered. I can assassinate a guard in the middle of 5 other ones and no one notices until i kill 2 more.
I really think the “social stealth” idea was awesome. But as it turns out… you walk into a group of scholars, press A, and so long as you dont kill anyone in front of a guard you can call it good. Make the crowds more concealing, so that you can actually hide in them, make the social impact of your actions relevant like you pretend. It wouldve been much cooler. Also I wouldn’t have minded seeing some night mission’s incorporating stealth as well (a reason for the black outfit I want. I actually think the white one is more badass though, i just want choice!).
As far as social acceptability for walking around with 20 knives and 2 swords strapped on your back…. I can’t even say anything.
I wouldve made a weapon selection menu at the beginning of each mission at Masayaf with two meters. One indicating combat ability, the other, social stealth, or suspicion.
You could pick which weapons to bring, including unlockable new ones (ie. the small crossbow, a full long bow, ect.)
The more weapons you bring, the more guards pay attention to you. You are more capable in combat with throwing knives, a bow, and the longsword, but at the same time, your stealth goes down, its much harder to hide in a crowd, ect.
North American Assassin’s Creed fans rejoice! The Assassin’s Creed Director’s Cut has shipped! The game is priced at $49.99. Assassin’s Creed Director’s Cut features four new types of investigations over the console versions released towards the end of last year. Here’s what GameZone.com had to say about the special Director’s Cut features:
Being a Director’s Cut, the PC version adds some new features not found in the console versions by way of four different side-quests. They are pretty varied and stand up well when compared to the missions that you do in the regular game. You’ll perform stealth archer assassinations, where you’ll have to go through rooftops killing archers without alerting others, rooftop races, merchant stand destruction missions where you’ll have throw enemies at targeted merchant stands, and escort missions where you have to keep an NPC alive while enemies attack. These extra missions are pretty fun and do a good job of switching up the main game quite a bit and adding some variety.
If you thought the game was visually stunning on the PS3 or Xbox 360, wait till you see it on a full-load PC. If you have an up to date graphics card, this game will be spectacular and fly. I’m not sure if I’ll be picking this game up for the PC for a second leap of faith, but I am certain jealous of those of you who waited for it.
Assassin’s Creed is slated to be released on the Nintendo DS in the United Kingdom this week! Whether or not that release date sticks is anyones guess. Some small things I’ve heard about the DS version are that there aren’t as many assassinations and that the controls are a bit off. But that is to be expected since you can’t copy an 8 button Xbox controller to a DS.
But I know a lot of you are dying to get your hands on this title, so here’s a little video of some DS gameplay.
A lot of people have trouble with the last assassination at the funeral. It’s a tough kill to make and you’ll probably die 5 times just trying to figure things out. So I browsed the Assassin’s Creed forums and took some of the best tips for beating this part of the game. Here they are:
There are many ways. The easiest for me was to just keep attacking everyone until you are lucky enough to kill your target. If you focus on just that specific target then everyone else will kill you.
The archers there are the most annoying…jerks…in the game. I recommend alerting everyone at the funeral, then get them to chase you through the city to a predetermined location where you have a group of vigilantes waiting in ambush. Then, as the vigilantes distract the guards, you can kill ‘em all!
My method was stand in one of the corners that you face at the funeral. The guards won’t be able to attack you from behind and the archers will be able to shoot you less. Then it’s just a case of heavy attacking and countering all the guards until you get to the target. Don’t even bother about getting the archers unless you want the (i think there is one) achievement for killing loads of guards.
It’s a whole lot easier if you take out as many archers as you can -before- the fight. Then, as some of the others said, go get in a corner or near a wall somewhere. There’s a scaffold to the north of the area- get some guards near it and then throw one in to make it collapse and kill as many in one shot as you can (if you didn’t already know of this). Keep countering, and if you see you’ve knocked down ‘Robert,’ quickly switch the hidden blade and try to hit ‘em for a quick finish.
If you can’t beat Assassin’s Creed after this, then get a Game Genie
I wanted to take some time to reach all of you PC gamers. I know Assassin’s Creed isn’t out on PC just yet, so I wanted to tell you about a service that provides Game Servers for you to play on. it’s a great way to play your favorite first person shooter games at ultra fast speeds.
Game Servers are for people who take games seriously. There are thousands of slots serving all the best titles, like FEAR, Counter Strike, Unreal Tournament, and Team Fortress.
Dedicated hosting allows for unlimited games and playtime. The best thing about it may not even be the speed of the game, it’s the fact that you get complete control over what happens on your server. Do you get sick of people booting you out of games because you’re too good? Then you need to grab yourself one of these dedicated game servers. I promise playing Counter-Strike on a hack-free server that you control is worth the small price.
One of the things that always stopped me from getting a game server is the price. Well the guys at XTR Game Servers have some of the lowest prices around. They give you very fast servers that come with sontrol panels pre-installed so you’re ready to go right away. they have packages that range from small clans to competitive multi-game clans. No matter how big you want your games, they have a solution for you. The prices are so low that you could have everyone in your clan pay $5 a month, and you’ll be set!
It’s time to lock and load and commit to a game server. Take the next step!
A view from the highest church in the game results in a suicide. I guess Altair couldn’t handle the wind blowing up so high. It’s a pretty funny video, but lacks quality because the guy is filming his TV.
As promised here are more Xbox 360 Assassin’s Creed achievements. There are a lot of them, so be prepared to spend some time playing this game. I really give credit to anyone who has achieved all of this. You are truly a master of the game.

Assassin’s Creed has been out for several months now, and it’s a shame that many of the Assassin’s Creed fans have nothing left to do but play the same game over and over again. We’ve already seen other games, like Mass Effect, release Downloadable Content.. so why haven’t we heard of anything about Assassin’s Creed DLC? Is it because the game is multi-platform? Is it because Ubi is slacking? Or is it because there would be nothing of substance to add in a DLC?
If you actually look no the game box, it doesn’t say Downloadable Content… so I don’t think we’ll end up seeing something. But why not give us fans something to keep us busy until Assassin’s Creed 2 comes out. It doesn’t even have to be a new explorable city (although that would be awesome). How about new weapons or clothes, or hell… even a new horse? Just give us something!
It’s hard to believe that in 2008 games are still being made without the possibility for DLC.
One of the most annoying aspects of Assassin’s Creed are the beggars. They’re freaking everywhere! You can’t walk through a city without having 20 beggars approach you asking for money. Sometimes I just want to take out my sword and murder them right on the spot. It especially pisses me off when I’m running away from the guards and a stupid beggar runs into me and it knocks me down.
The only thing beggars are used for is an achievement… “Enemy of the Poor” Acheivement. But once you have that accomplished you can do whatever you want to them. Try punching them or throwing them through merchant stands. It will definitely make you feel better. Just be sure you are in position to run away from the guards should they see you.
This is one thing I would like to see reduced in Assassin’s Creed… the amount of beggars and drunks!
All Xbox 360 games have achievements. By performing certain tasks in a game you can earn Achievement points and show off to your friends what you have accomplished. Assassin’s Creed has many achievements that Xbox 360 gamers should strive for. Below is a list of everything you can work for. If you thought you already beat Assassin’s Creed, take a look at this list and you might be surprised at what you’ve missed.
Note: These are only some of the achievements. We will post more later.

While browsing the Assassin’s Creed forum, I cam across a post by jason.mohr. He says that he did not put the horse there, and you can tell by the pictures that there are no areas from him to have jumped from to get the horse there. This poor horse is stuck at the top of a guard tower.
Gamers are always looking for tips on how to improve their skills. In this post I wanted to give you a couple of Assassin’s Creed combat tips to help you become the ultimate assassin.
Hidden blade counters - If u counter while using the hidden blade you will get an instant kill against any target. This works wonders against those annoying guards.
Quick attacks and slow attacks - If you attack a guard when you are closer to him than you will perform a faster attack than if you had attacked from farther away. The trick is to sneak up on a guard to get that quick strike.
Power attack - If you make a powerful attack (hold attack button) from far away than your attack will be stronger and might break through the defense of a common guard. It has a higher chance of hitting.
Side dodge - This is a fun tip if you don’t like just standing there taking a beating. You can dodge to the sides and not just backwards. I think it may be slightly faster when attacking.
If you have any cool combat tips, please be sure to comment on this post and share!
One of the reasons a lot of gamers buy games for consoles is because they don’t have powerful enough computers to handle new games. Me being one of them. Who wants to buy a new graphics card and more RAM every time a game comes out?
Assassin’s Creed will be a pretty graphic intense computer game, although not as intense as something like WoW or Guild Wars. So before you go out and buy it, check the specs and make sure your PC can handle it.
