Assassin’s Creed Pickpocketing Tips
Pickpocketing in Assassin’s Creed can be quite a pain at times. If you start following the person too quickly, he’ll warn you off. If you don’t start following quick enough then you won’t catch up because you both walk at the same speed. There are no practice areas for pickpocketing, so you’ll have to do it live in the streets.
The main things to watch is your target looking around while you follow him. Pick pocketing while guards are around will arouse suspicion and cause chaos.
Lock onto your target, slowly walk towards him, make sure he is not looking around and then get as close as possible and hit the Pick Pocket button/key. Altair needs to get his hand as close to the persons pocket as possible. Once it tells you your success, then quickly move away.
If you see the person stop walking, you need to stop too. This means that he is almost alert of you trying to pickpocket him. Just simply stop and wait for him to start moving again.
It does take a lot of practice, so don’t get frustrated if you fail the first few times.
