I just spent some time creating three new Assassin’s Creed Wallpapers. They come in three different sizes, 1600×1200, 1280×960, and 1024×768. If you need them in a smaller size, you can just open them in any photo editing software and resize it yourself.

The new wallpapers use the standard Assassin’s Creed background, but with different images of Altair. It’s a classic look with a new feel. I really like them, so feel free to comment on this post and give me your opinion. Here’s a sample of one of them:

I just read this morning on Forbes.com that Assassin’s Creed is headed to PC by the end of this quarter. That is great news for fans of the game who do not have a PS3 or Xbox 360. I don’t have a lot of details yet. I’m sure there will be some added features and content that the console games do not have. Once we get more info, I’ll be sure to let you guys know.

Assassin’s Haven will be undergoing some major changes over the next few days. We will be redesigning the site, and get back to posting on a regular basis. Assassin’s Creed is a kick ass game with many sequels to come (we hope) so we really want to build this site back up and bring in many new features.

Today Pocket Books announced it will novelize Assassin’s Creed this October. The title of the first book will be “Assassin’s Creed Book One: The Invisible Imam” and is due to be published in October of 2007. The publisher plans to print a trilogy of novels based on Ubisoft’s highly-anticipated game.

The first title in the novel series will detail events leading up to the beginning of the game. “The Assassin’s Creed books, which begin by layering elements that prequel the game, will only expand upon this adventure to an eager audience of gamers and thrill seekers,” said Tony Key, VP, marketing at Ubisoft.

“With the anticipation for Assassin’s Creed building every day, it’s tremendously exciting to be in partnership with Ubisoft at the launch of this extraordinary franchise,” said Marco Palmieri, Senior Editor at Pocket Books.
