I was browsing around for Assassin’s Creed news today, and i came on this description on a site. I really like it, so I thought I’d share it with you guys.
From the team that brought the world Prince of Persia and Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell comes a sophisticated new franchise utilizing the power of next-gen technology for its complex action. The first game in the Assassin’s Creed franchise is set in 1191 AD, when the Third Crusade was tearing the Holy Land apart. Shrouded in secrecy and feared for their ruthlessness, the Assassins intend to stop the hostilities by suppressing both sides of the conflict. Players, assuming the role of the main character Altair, will have the power to throw their immediate environment into chaos and to shape events during this pivotal moment in history.
Below is the current trailer for Assassins Creed. The video shows off some really great gameplay elements. I love how the crowd reacts to Altair and the sprawling enviroment he has to play in. When he runs to escape, he runs through narrow alleys, climbs a wall, and then runs to a church (i think), if all the missions offer that kind of variety, the game should be amazing. Click to watch:
Are you one of the people who haven’t been following Assassin’s Creed? If so, here’s a little rundown of what to expect in the game.
Assassin’s Creed takes place in the year 1191 during the Third Crusade. In the game, you play as an assassin, Altair, who is out to shape the course of history. Assassin’s Creed combines elements of stealth, high flying acrobatics, and intense sword combat, to create a blend that should make it one of the best action games of 2007.
Assassin’s Creed will be making an appearance on Playstation 3, PC, and most recently announced (read below), Xbox 360.
