Ubisoft announced the development of Assassin’s Creed 2 about a month or so ago. They’ve also told us that they will delay the launch as long as possible, maybe even a couple of years. They use this tactic to increase demand for the product, similar to what they’ve done with Prince of Persia.
What I wanted to talk about today is the possible setting for Assassin’s Creed 2. Do you think it will remain in the same “Crusades” era in the Middle East? Or is it possible we travel back to medieval Europe Braveheart/Robin Hood style? Or maybe we head to France for the French Revolution? Possibly Altair goes back to America during the Civil War?
The possibilities are endless. But do we think Ubisoft will really mess with a good thing by changing the entire environment of the game?

Actually, I think it’s kind of good that they are sending him somewhere else. Yes, they would throw away the middle eastrener they created but it would be cool to try something new. Not so sure about civil war america though. I would like to kill a French or English general during the renniscane.
And about making the story of the game like Zelda, so what. Why do you think Zelda is apparently very popular? Not the boomerang. Ubisoft should keep changing the time and place he’s in and lets hope that they make a third.

Well, i read something on wikipedia about the 16th subject making references to japan in his writings behind desmonds bed and ubisoft could be giving a clue to the setting with the japanese town

I think it has nothing to do with the past anymore it is all about the “present” if you pay attention lucy is doing everything she can to prvent the templars from getting the piece of eiden and if you read her mail she is the one who sent out for help so if he is the last assassin he should do what his ancestor shoud have done years ago destroy the pieces of eden.

A ninja is an assassin.
And according tot he very last email from Lucy in Vidic’s computer Subject Sixteen was from the Far East, and was the one who wrote on the walls inside of Desmond’s bed room. So the story will probably take place in China or Japan and give some insight to the markings on the wall and also some background information on Subject Sixteen.
Plus the map showed those Orbs scattered all over the world so the Story line could really be taken anywhere, but I think the next Assassin’s Creed will be more along the lines of a prequel to Desmond’s story.
But yea, Far East, Subject Sixteen, and hopefully the Story will be a little bit more revealed, at the end of the first Assassin’s Creed I was left wanting just a little bit more. Felt like the game didn’t really end.

i think the guy who was having those flashbacks in assassins creed 1 is goin to be the main character and hes gonna have to fight genst helicopters and like army soldiers but thats wut i think
well , we will not now before the relese of assassin’s creed 2 whats going to happen; if altair will go to america or to europe, it’s Jade raymond who is going to decide , but i do know that in EAGLE VISION of Desmond,and seeing things on the ground and behind his bed has something to do with the story of assassin’s creed 2 (I think) but it will be great if altair go to Euroupe. I disagree with 7egend because it will never happen in China or in Japan ; And it is not subject sixteen as he said , its subject seventeen and also in the other room, the big one , there is a laptop the same as Dr. Vidic and i think that 7egend will read it because it will change his mind about the japan and China
What i would LOVE, would to have a modern feel to it, i know some will disagree with me, BUT, think about it, running around NYC, Paris, Berlin, TOKYO!!! I think that would be pretty badass, i know some wont like the idea of guns, but that would just add another level of combat to it. the 4 weapons-hand gun, sniper, hand blade, and fist. I think that would be pretty boss
