So Assassin’s Creed 2 has officially been out for one day now. I’m sure a lot of you played for hours on end, maybe even through the night… trying to uncover every secret, trying to assassinate every guard, trying to swim in the water for once 
All the initial reviews and reactions I’ve been reading have been positive. I just scrolled through Twitter to see what I could find out and didn’t see one negative comment. Here’s what people are saying:

Great game! Once I bought it and started playing, I could not stop because of the interesting characters and storyline, great job Ubisoft, and I recommend this game to ANYONE who loved AC1!
the game is entirely to short i bout the game tuesday and had it beat on thursday. wish they would have made it alot longer
Well, ok, I’m italian and I’m playing it.
It’s awesome, really, and solved all the bad things of the 1st one (someone said repetivity?)
Good story and ehi, best setting
But i wanted to play it in original couse localozation sometimes sucks..well i shifted back to italian…
All people talk like the stereotypical mafia goodfellas. Associetes word and gestures in an hollywoodian way and not like we italian do.
And the sentences in italian…OMG.. they are spoken like if an average american without ANY italian language knowledge tries and read them.
They were simply hilarious..and that…well..ruined the mood
So I shifted back to my localization (luckyly a good work this time not like the work on Fallout 3…that one deserves a death sentence, straight and fair), but my heart ache ‘couse i can’t listen to my beloved Kristen Bell voice..

I don’t speak Italian so I didn’t notice the problems you mentioned (though it is disappointing nonetheless). However, I was similarly disappointed with the fact that English AND Italian were spoken in the animus. I thought the machine translated EVERYTHING, not just “the important parts.” And now I find out it’s not even authentic… meh.
But why is it that they speak with accents at all? When people speak in foreign languages, they don’t have accents in their own language. Why do they suddenly sound like foreigners in their own language when their words are translated?
Jason I do hope you realized that you could put subtitles on to understand the Italian?

Assassins Creed is a game unlike any other O_O ! I’ve tried all the spoken languages and so far i’m sticking to Italian as it fits the situation (u play in Italy this time) =P. Ezio proves to be the outgoing, flirtatious type which is a nice change from the cold,silent Altair (don’t take me wrong i like Altair =D) But it felt lonely since the guards only talk in italian while in AC 1 the guards are from different countries so they speak different languages which was hilarious XD At least we can swim in water now in AC 2. Also, the killing techniques have improved. There are also a variety of weapons and armor along smoke bombs. U can also change the color of ur costume and achieve the altair costume (no idea how though U_U).Furthermore, the missions are more varied now as there r : – Assassination contracts, beat up events, nd courteus events (wrong spelling but these events have no beating),Assassin tombs to discover. There is also stuff to collect like codex pages(Altair’s diary),feathers (can fetch u some reward),truth files(provided by subject 16 to solve, subject 16 was used before Desmond in the Abstergo company). That’s all folks !!
