Ezio’s Villa

A new addition to Assassin’s Creed 2 is Ezio’s Villa. The Villa is sort of Ezio’s hideout – it’s where he keeps all his weapons, armor and other assassin’s tools. I’ve been reading some mixed reviews about the initial thoughts of Ezio’s Villa. Some people love it, while other wish there was more umph.

I remember watching a video on the making of AC2 and the creators talked about how they wanted to style Ezio’s Villa from a real building. They used parts of an ancient monk sanctuary in Italy for the inspiration.

Some of the complaints are:
- You can’t upgrade the Villa or purchase additions
- There are no secret tunnels
- You don’t have to protect the Villa, ie: Guards don’t randomly attack it

What do you think of the Villa? Do you love it? Hate it?

Here’s a video for those of you still holding out.

    I like the Villa :)

Its just a fun little extra and the fact that guards don’t attack it every __ minutes that means I don’t have to worry about it too much or get distracted from missions to rush back over there and save the poor people.

The reason I don’t like it is the fact that the rent you get paid unbalances the economy, once you have 10000 florins coming into your chest you don’t need the 15% discount and you no longer have to worry about saving your florins.

Interestingly, there are secret tunnels. I have seen a secret tunnel in the well beside the villa after it gets upgraded. The mines also have a secret tunnel after being upgraded. The church even has an interesting design once upgraded. Each of these three has 2 treasure chests.

  7. armoury says:

the armoury is to he left of the entrance of the villa, as you go in. your weapons are stored here. From there there is a room that leads into where your armour is stored.

  8. Ezio Auditore says:

I was wondering is Altairs Armour the best and most effective armour there is?

  9. Ezio Auditore says:

And by the way the villa can be upgraded, when you renovate a property or shop the villa gets better. If you look at the start when you first unlock the Villa the windows are boarded up but when you buy shop upgraded and renovations the windows get unboarded and the villa gets cleaned ect.
