One thing I read about a lot on the Assassin’s Creed Forums is that people want to know if you can equip the dagger as a primary weapon. Currently, the sword is your primary weapon – but it can be boring to use the sword over and over again when attacking guards. You also have the hammers, but they are pretty weak and can’t be counted on in serious fights.

Daggers are fun and deadly, however, Ubisoft does not currently have a way for you to equip it as a primary weapon. What you have to do is always carry it, and just hit X/Square to use it in a fight. There is no way to assign the dagger to the D-Pad. If you try using the D-pad, you’ll just end up wasting medicine.

If enough people discuss daggers, Ubisoft might release it in the form of Downloadable COntent.
