In a recent IGN article, Assassins Creed devloper Ubisoft says that while the XBox 360 and PS3 versions will be “nearly identical”, the Xbox 360 version will have slightly better AI.
The article only mentions crowd AI and not enemy AI, but either way, better AI is better AI :).
The Assassins Creed trailer from X06 is now available for download. Its quite a doozy, but I think I’m better off letting the video speak for itself :). Check it out: Assassins Creed X06 Trailer
There seems to be a dearth of Assassins Creed news lately (or maybe I’m just not looking in the right place). Don’t fear though, I haven’t forgotten about this site
I was just browsing around and came upon this trailer. It doesnt really show much gameplay, but from what it does show, the game looks absolutely amazing. Check it out below:
Just did some work and added a section for wallpapers. So far there are only two, but I’ll be updating it as I find more. Check them out and enjoy folks.
Just found this interview gamespot did with some of the devs of Assassin Creed. The interview was prompted by the announcement that Assassins Creed was coming to Xbox 360. Check out the interview here
Considering that Assassin’s Creed will now be launching on Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC on the same day. I’m wondering what console you guys are planning to get it on. For me, it’s either the Xbox 360 or the PC. But I’m sure there are some PS3 fans out there. Let me know on the forums.
I was browsing around for Assassin’s Creed news today, and i came on this description on a site. I really like it, so I thought I’d share it with you guys.
From the team that brought the world Prince of Persia and Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell comes a sophisticated new franchise utilizing the power of next-gen technology for its complex action. The first game in the Assassin’s Creed franchise is set in 1191 AD, when the Third Crusade was tearing the Holy Land apart. Shrouded in secrecy and feared for their ruthlessness, the Assassins intend to stop the hostilities by suppressing both sides of the conflict. Players, assuming the role of the main character Altair, will have the power to throw their immediate environment into chaos and to shape events during this pivotal moment in history.
Below is the current trailer for Assassins Creed. The video shows off some really great gameplay elements. I love how the crowd reacts to Altair and the sprawling enviroment he has to play in. When he runs to escape, he runs through narrow alleys, climbs a wall, and then runs to a church (i think), if all the missions offer that kind of variety, the game should be amazing. Click to watch:
Looking at the game, it’s not hard to draw comparisons to Prince of Persia. However, this is one thing that gets me really excited about the game. I absolutely loved Prince of Persia, I believe it had some really amazing gameplay. Now, why does this get me excited about Assassins Creed? Because I think Assassins Creed will take everything from Prince of Persia and… improve on it. Not to mention it’s an exclusive next-gen release, so the graphics should be stunning.
Are you one of the people who haven’t been following Assassin’s Creed? If so, here’s a little rundown of what to expect in the game.
Assassin’s Creed takes place in the year 1191 during the Third Crusade. In the game, you play as an assassin, Altair, who is out to shape the course of history. Assassin’s Creed combines elements of stealth, high flying acrobatics, and intense sword combat, to create a blend that should make it one of the best action games of 2007.
Assassin’s Creed will be making an appearance on Playstation 3, PC, and most recently announced (read below), Xbox 360.
Today Ubi announced that Assassin’s Creed will be appearing on the Xbox 360, as well as the Playstation 3. I’m sure this makes many people (me included) exceptionally happy. Below is an excerpt from Ubi’s press release.
Today Ubisoft, one of the world’s largest video game publishers, announced that the version of its new Assassin’s Creed™ franchise for the Xbox 360™ video game and entertainment system from Microsoft will launch with the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system version of the game in early 2007. Assassin’s Creed is being developed by an all-star team from Ubisoft’s world-class Montreal studio. Assassin’s Creed wowed the crowd at this year’s E3, winning the Game Critics Award: Best of E3 2006 for “Best Action-Adventure Game†and sweeping the “Best PS3 Game†category across numerous video game websites.*
“The second you lay your eyes on Assassin’s Creed, you will immediately say, ‘this is next generation’,†said video game Web site 1UP.com. “Not only does the game look incredible, but its gameplay and all that it encompasses are things that just simply couldn’t be achieved with current-generation hardware.â€
